PAN Card Application Form, Status, apply Online : PAN (Permanent Account Number) card is a ten digit number that is known as Permanent Account Number . This card is issued by Income tax Department of India. It is very important document for filling Income Tax Return, TDS credit etc .It is also used as identity proof of a person.
Utilisation of PAN Card :
It is used by the assesses for filling Income Tax return. Gift return, Wealth tax , Fringe Benefit Tax etc.
Who can Apply :
It is necessary of a person who is an assesse as per Income Tax Department. But a person voluntarily applied for Pan.
A person should Quote PAN in the following Transaction.
- Sale or Purchase of immovable property value above 5 lacs.
- At the time of depositing cash in Bank above 50 (fifty Thousand) Rupees.
- Sale or purchase of motor Vehicle.
- Sale or Purchase of a security value more than Rupees One lac.
- Opening a Bank Account.
- Payment to Hotel & Restaurant billing amount more than twenty five thousand.
- Payment in cash for acquired Bank draft,Pay order amount exceeding rupees fifty thousand in one day.
Document required for PAN card application :
- For address proof : Ration card, Electricity bill, Voter identity card,Bank pass Book.
- For Identity proof : Voter identity card, identity card issued by reputed organisation.
Note : If a person is a minor his legal guardian proof will be acceptable.
PAN card application Fee:
Rs. 94 (ninety four rupees) only for Indian through cash ,debit card, credit card.
PAN card application online :
Interested person can apply online /offline. Online application can be submitted through internet at www.utitsl.co.in . If any person found mistake in his card he may further request for changes in card. After submission of requisite fee & application form applicant are required to send the document by post?or by courier to NSDL/UTISDL.
How to check Pan Card Application Status ?
Applicant can track pan card status online at official website of NSDL (https://tin.tin.nsdl.com/tan/StatusTrack.html) by entering 15 digit unique Acknowledgment Number after three days of application at Pan card application registration center. Applicant who are interested to check application status may follow following steps.
Step - 1 : Visit : "https://tin.tin.nsdl.com/tan/StatusTrack.html".
Step - 2 : Select "Application type" (Pan New/Pan change request"
Step - 3 : Enter "Acknowledgement Number"
OR
Enter " Last Name" , " First Name" , " Middle Name"
and " Date of Birth (DOB)"
Step - 4 : " Click on "Submit" button .
your Pan application status will be displayed on screen. Note down details for future reference.
